From the moment children arrive, they’re welcomed into a space that feels more like a second home — a place filled with laughter, gentle reassurance, muddy hands, big imaginations, and those quiet moments that matter just as much as the big milestones.
Our team is at the heart of everything we do.

We’re not just qualified; we’re deeply invested. We notice the small things, respond with warmth and patience, and shape each day around the children rather than expecting them to fit into it.

At Headstart, we don’t rush childhood — we protect it. Through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions, children are free to build, imagine, question, create, and simply feel safe. Confidence grows naturally here, nurtured through encouragement and trust.

We value strong partnerships with families, creating a sense of belonging for parents as well as children. Together, we celebrate progress, share in each child’s journey, and offer support every step of the way.

Children leave Headstart not only ready for school, but feeling secure, confident, and truly known.
Meet Our Managers And Senior Leadership Team
Guiding our nursery with experience, passion, and a commitment to excellence
At The Head Start Day Nursery, our managers and senior staff play a vital role in shaping the warm, nurturing environment we are so proud of. With years of experience in early years education, they lead with compassion, professionalism, and a deep understanding of what children and families need to thrive.
Our leadership team works closely with practitioners across every room, ensuring high‑quality care, inspiring learning opportunities, and a consistent approach that supports each child’s individual journey. They are dedicated to building strong relationships with families, offering guidance, reassurance, and open communication every step of the way.
From overseeing daily practice to championing creativity, safety, and emotional wellbeing, our managers and senior staff are the steady hands and caring hearts behind everything we do. Their commitment ensures that Head Start remains a place where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn — and where families feel truly supported.
Healthy Eating Programme
We promote healthy eating across all our nurseries and follow UK Early Years nutritional standards. Families may provide a packed lunch, which must meet our healthy eating guidelines, be clearly labelled, and include full allergen information. Pre‑prepared or shop‑bought lunches are NOT permitted.
We provide fresh fruit or vegetable snacks, with milk and water available throughout the day. Our nurseries also offer freshly prepared meals cooked on site by our experienced chefs, and weekly menus are available for parents to view.
For the safety of all children, we operate a STRICT NO-NUT POLICY. Please do not bring nuts or nut products onto the premises.
We work closely with families to support individual dietary needs and ensure every child enjoys safe, healthy and inclusive mealtimes.
We cater to all dietary requirements such as the below (but not limited to):
Gluten Free & Coeliac
Dairy Free & Lactose Free
Vegetarian & Vegan
Paleo
FODMAP
Tree Nut & Peanut Allergies
